A fraternal organization is usually considered a group of people who form an organization based upon shared ideals and values and that participate in ritual ceremonies and events that exemplify the goals of the organization. Members of a fraternal organization will usually refer to themselves as being part of a "brotherhood" and will often think of their organizations in familial terms.
